I named this service Traditional Videography to distinguish it from my freelance Drone and 360 VR video work. It describes the work done by using digital cinema cameras, DSLRs, or action cameras. Taking into account the uniqueness of every project, "traditional" videography can often be mixed with aerial footage and even with 36o degree panoramic video and photo content.
As a freelance videographer, my cameraman skills can be used across a wide variety of genres such as corporate projects, documentary, entertainment, education and training. Being flexible and versatile I can also film small projects for entrepreneurs and business people, as well as family videos, both public and private.
As an owner-operator, with my in-house equipment, I can easily travel to any location in the UK and Europe. With my range of UHD and 4K cameras and professional lenses, I'm capable of filming in almost any situation and I have a comprehensive collection of appropriate equipment to suit any location.
Lighting the scenes
Often I use light as a part of my visual storytelling to achieve a different mood or convey a different message. And sometimes a scene is simply too dark. to film. My lighting kit includes various RGB, tungsten and FPL lights bodies, diffusers, colour gels and negative fill boards that provide me with the technical and creative flexibility to light both indoor and outdoor scenes.
professional sound recording
Quality audio and sound are as important as good quality footage for any project. For my work as a filmmaker and freelance videographer, I'm using a range of professional Røde microphones, including shotgun mics and wireless lavaliers as well as an external Tascam multichannel recorder.
